A Comparison of Hazard Vulnerability Indexes for Washington State

چکیده
Abstract Factors associated with structural racism, disenfranchisement, poverty, and other persistent sources of inequity are vulnerability exposure to environmental hazards. Social, demographic, factors hazards have been used by many researchers produce indexes hazard vulnerability. In preparation for a climate change health risk assessment Washington state, we compared methods results from six designed support assessment. Production these varies in the number variables considered, calculation complexity, local causal pathways. Results generally very similar, especially at highest decile vulnerability, exception being Environmental Health Disparities index, only one consider exposure. Some that hide Those exposed pathways limited model structure. indicate simpler may be more appropriate use decision tools as they require less overhead data updates scenario analysis methodologies provide useful framework index generation.
